spiritual companionship

This term is not so familiar in the Indian context though it is practised formally in many friendships and mentoring situations. It is basically a conversation between two people who are listening with their hearts being aware of God's Spirit in their midst. One is usually trained to be a listener and the best picture I have of this is three empty chairs....the spirtiual director (or companion), the directee (or the one who desires a companion) and God......there is a holy ground in the conversation and over time a companionship develops to enrich growth and rooting in the Holy One.

This type of companionship is available at Aadisha either face to face or on line.(Sheila trained as a spiritual companion at SGM New Zealand)

Retreats available for 2025

There are 3 to 5 day retreats available through out the year till November. The topics are

Dates will be set according to requests from participants so do give 2 or 3 options for timings that work for you so that I can decide a good option. (Unless you come as a group of friends or from a church). There will be no retreats in July 2025. Usually May and October are busy months so apply early if you are thinking of those two months.

Sheila is willing to facilitate a small group on zoom if there is anyone interested in doing it. It will take upto 6 weeks if we meet once a week but it really depends on the participants. Those interested please do contact us on our website at Aadisha.
